The fireworks have been postponed from tonight to Sunday night.  They will be added to what was already planned for Sunday to make a really big show.

Motorcyle Show and Shine has been rescheduled for Sunday from 12 to 4 in front of the Heritage Centre at the North end of Town.  Also the Bicycle show and shine has been rescheduled for Sunday at 2:30 in front of the Rally Headquarters.

The Hospitality Tent will be up and running at 5pm today with a Band on stage by 6pm!!

The Rally magician will be at the Seniors home at 10:20 Sunday morning and travelling throughout the Town today and tomorrow.

We are upgrading the information about the availability of the arena for motorcycle storage.  EMO has advised us that the arena will be set aside for emergency shelter for people and therefore will not be available for motorcycle storage.  We apologize for any confusion, however the safety of people obviously take precedence.

Rally Hurricane Watch @ 7:30am - expected land fall is between yarmouth & digby w/ winds of 140kmh sat morning @ 7am I will be keeping everyone updated through facebook, twitter and the rally website as I get more information about the storm we'll make sure to let everyone know.

The Wharf Rat Rally is pleased to have Joelene Johnson of both AVR and Magic 949 radio stations in Digby for this year’s event. Joelene will be riding her Bike and sometimes driving the AVR Community Cruiser all weekend long making live reports on both AVR and Magic 949. Of particular note Joelene will be broadcasting LIVE on AVR from the Wharf Rat Rally Headquarters 9am – 1pm Saturday with updates every 20 minutes. Tune in or check her out on line by clicking the AVR station link from this website. If you see the AVR Bay Ferries Community Cruiser wave it down and fill out a ballot to Win the AVR Cruiser, draw will take place Sept 25^th.  

Although we anticipate the storm to not be an issue, if by some reason the forecasters are correct, space has been made available at the Digby Arena for bikes at a nominal fee.  We will keep you updated.

For everyone who likes to know how popular we are becoming here's a few tidbits for you.  Since Feb 10, 2010 when this new site launched we have had 27, 531 unique visits come to this site with 138, 649 page views from 69 different ccountries.  In the last month we have had 10, 741 unique visits with an increase of 114.26% over last month.  Hope everyone is getting excited.

Did you know.... The Wharf Rat Rally was winner of 2009 TIANS Ambassador Award which gives the rally recognition as a driver for tourism and the economy. We are presently the largest event of this type in Atlantic Canada and expect to be largest in Canada in 2010!

All cell phone users at Wharf Rat Rally will be pleased to know that Bell Aliant has been working diligantly to improve and upgrade both the hardware and software on their system.  They believe the issues and problems from last year's Rally in 2009 will be resolved for this year's 2010 Rally.

Safety Services Nova Scotia Safe Rider Training
This program is to promote safe rider training and encourage the general public to participate in the course on their own motorcycles. It provides a few basic training tips and coaches each participant through the training course. Motorcycle trainers will be on site doing demo’s as well as coaching participants.

They will be set up at the Walmart parking lot next to the Harley Davidson test ride site on Friday-Sunday Sept. 3-5, 2010 from 11:00am-4:00pm.

Check out the Harley bike at the Digby Liquor Store this week. You can buy tickets to WIN this bike at various locations in Digby and area!
